Students tossing caps on a hill after graduationDear 12th grade students and families:

You are invited to participate in the DSHS/DVCA virtual Cash for College workshop on Tuesday, November 17 at 6:00 p.m. At the workshop, you will receive help completing your FAFSA or Dream Act application from financial aid professionals.  To register, click here.

Before the workshop, apply for your FSA ID at https://www.cash4college.csac.ca.gov. Your FSA ID is the number you will use to sign your application. Remember to write down your login and password and keep it in a safe place. YOU WILL NEED THIS INFORMATION every year you apply for financial aid.

Students need an FSA ID and so does the parent who will sign the application, so each of you needs to create your own FSA ID.  If you have siblings, or parents who already completed a FAFSA, they may already have an FSA ID that they can use to sign your application.

Click here for a list of documents to bring to the workshop to help you complete your application.

Completion of the FAFSA is critical for community college and 4-year college students to receive federal financial aid AND scholarships.

We look forward to seeing you tonight!

Best,
Ms. Strand and Mrs. Roper
