Each year, DJUSD prepares for the administration of tests designed and managed through the College Board, which include the PSAT/NMSQT, SAT and AP tests.  At this time, the College Board has no plan to provide alternatives to in-person testing for the PSAT or SAT.  We continue to track communications from the College Board on its response to COVID-19.  This letter is to provide you with the plans for DJUSD administration of testing for the 2020-21 school year.

PSAT/NMSQT
The College Board has announced that the PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®) will be offered in January 2021 and this administration will have the same benefits as the October PSAT/NMSQT, including eligibility for programs administered by National Merit Scholarship Corporation.

DJUSD will not administer the fall PSAT, scheduled for October 17, 2020.  Instead, DJUSD plans to offer in-person testing for the PSAT/NMSQT in January 2021, with adherence to Yolo County Public Health guidance.

SAT
The College Board has also announced monthly opportunities to take the SAT, though testing locations vary from community to community. DJUSD will offer in-person SAT administration to testing sessions at Davis Senior High School on November 7, 2020 and on March 13, 2021, with adherence to Yolo County Public Health guidance.

AP Testing
DJUSD will plan to offer in-person AP Tests as regularly scheduled in the spring with dates and details to be determined. Please note that there is a possibility that the College Board opts to allow administration to occur remotely as occurred in Spring 2020. DJUSD will post updates as they are known.

If you have questions about testing and dates, please check with your child's counselor.  Da Vinci families can find testing information on the Da Vinci High School counseling corner at https://davincicharteracademyhs.net/resources/counseling_corner as well as the Davis Senior High School Testing website at https://dshs.djusd.net/academics/testing

Sincerely,

Troy Allen
