AP Test Day
AP Testing is almost here! In order to create an efficient, calm and secure testing environment, please read ALL of the following information carefully.
On Test Day:
Arrive at the testing locations found
HERE
by
7:30 a.m.
for the morning exam and by
11:30 a.m.
for the afternoon exam. Upon arrival, we will have clear ziplock bags for you to label and store your
cell phone
and any other electronic devices (smart watches, etc). We will keep your devices secure and return after the test. If you have your backpack, you may bring it to be stored, but NO ELECTRONIC DEVICES are allowed inside. Any electronic noise can jeopardize the test/score of every student in the room.
You may bring a
snack in a clear bag
(clearly labeled with your name) or in an identifiable container that will also be collected and given to you at the 10-minute break. Only water will be allowed in the Testing Room and stored under your chair. You will not have access to your backpack until the test is over. When arriving inside the Testing Room, you will be expected to enter
quickly
and find your designated seat.
Here are College Board’s guidelines for what to/what not to bring to AP Testing:
Please bring:
A current government issued or school issued photo ID (
NOT ON A CELL PHONE
).
2 sharpened No. 2 pencils with erasers. 2 pens with black or dark blue ink.
Up to 2 approved calculators with the necessary capabilities if you are taking an AP Calculus or AP Statistics Exam. Visit
apstudents.org/courses
to find the calculator policy for your subject. For a list of approved graphing calculators, visit
apstudents.org/calculators
.
If you are taking Spanish Language exams and Computer Science Principles exams require DJUSD computers. You will need to bring your DJUSD computer and charger to the exam.
A watch that does not have internet access, beep or make noise, or have an alarm. (optional)
Prohibited Items
You may not bring prohibited items into the AP Exam. Prohibited items include:
The only exceptions to the above restrictions are laptops or other devices specifically permitted to be used for digital testing.
Books, reference guides, notes, compasses, protractors, mechanical pencils, pencils that are not No. 2, correction fluid, dictionaries, highlighters, or colored pencils.
Papers of any kind. Scratch paper will be provided.
Watches that beep, make a noise, or have an alarm.
Computers or calculators that are not approved.
Reference guides, keyboard maps, or other typing instructions.
Ear plugs.
Food or drinks (See snack policy above).
Clipboards.
Weapons or firearms.
We will report your attendance at your Da Vinci AP exams to the Office. Your parents do not need to call and excuse you from the class(es) you will be missing. If you have a morning exam, you can report to class after the exam without a stop at the Office.
For afternoon exams, you will be excused from your class by 11:00 am to eat lunch and arrive on time at 11:30.
Please note that you will not be excused from class before an afternoon exam or from class after taking the morning exam.
If the morning exam runs past lunch, you will be given 30 minutes to eat before reporting to class.
If you have a College Board approved accommodations exam, you will hear directly from Mrs. Gladding where to report for your test administration.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Ms. Strand at
[email protected]
or stop by before/after school or at lunch.
Congratulations to you all on working so hard in preparation of your exams. We look forward to supporting you on test day!
