DVCA Receives Highest WASC Accreditation
Posted on 02/10/2021
The Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) is our regional Accrediting Commission for Schools. Going through the accreditation process is one important way that schools engage on a continual improvement cycle. Receiving accreditation from WASC provides an essential, external level of accountability that affirms that institutions are providing an acceptable level of quality education in accordance with the WASC criteria. Da Vinci Charter Academy was scheduled for the accreditation visit in March of 2020 but had to pivot to a virtual visit that wrapped in September of 2020. At the most recent Winter Commission Meeting, Da Vinci received its official accreditation status, a six year accreditation through June of 2027. This is the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded. On behalf of the Da Vinci Staff, we thank our community for contributing to this process and for making this school and community one which we are proud to be a part of.
